This page has instructions on how to clear your cache and how to clear cookies. There are times that you might want to clear the cookies for just one website if you are having problems with things such as logging in or other operational problems. Browsers can get hung up and confused. Especially if you use it often. It's also good to clear your cache every so often as well if your browser is sluggish. Here are instructions on how to do both:
Clearing your Cache
If you want to help speed up your browser by clearing all the web content that it has stored for faster loading, you will want to "Clear your Cache". You can also clear ALL cookies for ALL websites in these settings as well. Here's how to do that:
Firefox
To clear your cache (stored images and web content), go to Settings, then choose Privacy and Security, scroll down to "Cookies and Site Data" and choose "Clear Data". You can clear ALL cookies from every website here (not recommended) or you can uncheck that box and just leave "Cached web content" checked before you click "Clear".
Chrome/Brave
Go to the main menu and choose Settings, next choose Privacy and Security, then choose Clear Browsing Data
In this area you can choose options. It can clear your browsing history, ALL your cookies, and/or your cached images and file. Just check the boxes you want to clear and then click "Clear Data". If you only want to clear your cache, make sure to uncheck all the other boxes.
Edge
Go to Settings, then choose "Privacy, Search, and Services", Under "Clear Browsing Data" click "Choose what to clear". It will then pop up a new window with options you can choose from. You can choose browsing history, download history, cookies, and cached images and files. If you only want to clear your cache, make sure to uncheck all the other boxes.
Opera
Go to your Settings, then scroll down Privacy and Security and over beside "Browsing Data" choose "Clear" and it will pop up with the box to choose what you would like to clear. If you only want to clear your cache, make sure to uncheck all the other boxes.
