If you are able to send and receive email within our provided webmail interface but are unable to send email via a third party app or program, you will need to check your SMTP settings.
Our server requires authentication before it allows you to send email through. This cuts back on spammers and criminals being able to use our server to send email with fake email addresses.
The reason you are unable to send email is most likely because you need to check your SMTP Outgoing server settings.
1. If your app or program has a place for a username and password in the SMTP area, please fill it in with your email address and email password.
2. If your app or program has a box to check that says something to the effect of "this server requires authentication", then you need to check it.
3. If you have your information in the SMTP area as instructed and it is still not going through, please double check your password. If all else fails, change your password within webmail and then try filling out the app email/password area again.
If you need to check your iphone/ipad settings, click here. Iphones/ipads will say that the outgoing smtp username and password is optional but it is not. Our server requires it.
If this doesn't fix your issue and you still need help, please click the "Contact Us" link at the top of the page and open a ticket so we can help you get this set up. Screenshots are strongly encouraged! We have found that if you include screenshots of your settings, we can spot issues that would have taken much longer without them since not everyone uses the same way to describe what they are seeing.
