This is part of our section on how to change your settings to move from the old software we were using before October, 2022 and to the new software we are using as of October 07, 2022.
These instructions were done using the default Samsung email app so please understand we can not show every single Android device app and their settings. Hopefully you will be able to adjust these to your device. If not, please open a ticket and let us know what device you use so we can help you with the change.
- Open your Email App
- Tap the Settings icon
- Tap your existing email account
- Tap "Server Settings"
- Under Incoming/IMAP/POP3 (it can say one or all of these)
Change where it says "secure.iljmail.com" to "email.iljmail.com" - Under SMTP/Outgoing server:
Change where it says "secure.iljmail.com" to "smtp.iljmail.com" - Set the SMTP/Outgoing Port to 587
- Tap "Done" or "Save" (whichever one it has)
Go back to your inbox and it should then sync with the new software automatically. If you need help transferring all your old messages to your new inbox, please see the email that we sent you for more information.
You can use an online tool called IMAP Sync (click here for how to use that)
You can also use Thunderbird on a desktop to set up both accounts and then drag and drop the messages and folders you want to keep. You may be able to set up both accounts in some apps and move them that way but we haven't tested that.
